Major Capital Expenditures measures the annual amount spent for new buildings, renovations and additions. FY2016 expenditures were below planned expenditures due to the construction delay on the Canning Center as well as changes in start dates for other major capital projects. However, all major projects for FY2016 other than the Canning Center were completed on time.
Major Preventative Maintenance Expenditures measures the amount of preventative maintenance funds expended. Major preventative maintenance expenditures are reported in annual and cumulative amounts. The College spent $26.7 million of preventative maintenance funds through FY2016.
Energy Consumption measures the energy consumed by fuel per gross square foot (GSF) of campus space, measured in British thermal units (BTUs). Harper’s energy consumption for the past five years has fluctuated. The current 2016 rate is 160,395 BTU/GSF.
