On The Path to 10,604
President Obama has challenged community colleges to produce five million more completions by 2020. In support of this national initiative, Harper College needs to realize 10,604 additional degrees and certificates* earned by 2020. Our hard work is producing results; at the beginning of FY2017 we were 5,099 degree and certificate completions ahead of schedule in realizing this goal.
This graph shows Harper's annual targeted and actual degree and certificate completions. In order to reach the goal of 10,604 additional completions, Harper must realize 38,059 total completions by the end of FY2020.
Target Degrees and Certificates represents the annual target and includes the additional degrees and certificates needed to reach the 10,604 goal. If the annual targets are met, the overall goal of 10,604 additional completions will be achieved.
Actual Degrees and Certificates represents the total number of degrees and certificates conferred. If the number is above the annual target, this indicates additional completions above the 10,604 goal.
*Additional degrees and certificates refer to those above the baseline of 2,288 credentials conferred in 2008
