Harper College will be closed for Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, Nov. 22, through Sunday, Nov. 26.

Consulting as a small business

If calling the shots and being your own boss has been a longtime dream, you better know the pros and cons of going it alone.

Harper College’s Small Business Development Center is launching a new seminar, “Consulting as a Small Business,” from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 4.

Bob Podgorski has taken the journey of executive to small business owner and consultant and will share his formula for success.

Both the novice entrepreneur and experienced consultant will learn how to use their skills to assist a multitude of companies rather than work for just one. They’ll leave with a better understanding of how to build a business model and act on it.

The seminar costs $25. It will take place at the Harper Professional Center, 650 E. Higgins Road, Schaumburg. For more information or to register, call 847.925.6520 or visit harpercollege.edu.
