Harper College invites the community to learn more about local food and Community
Supported Agriculture (CSA).
The free event is part of the College’s ongoing Munch for the Planet series of brown bag lunch and learn sessions about sustainability. It will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, in Room D193, Building D on Harper’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
Farmer Trogg from Trogg’s Hollow farm and farmer Jody from Cedar Valley Sustainable farm will explain the importance of having a local farmer, not only for personal health, but for the health of the local economy and the environment. Attendees can learn more about CSAs, supporting local farmers and how to take action.
Stop by, bring your lunch and learn about all things green. Cookies will be provided. Future sessions will focus on climate change, electric vehicles and recycling. Learn more about sustainability at Harper College at harpercollege.edu/gogreen.
