Humanities

Humanities

The stories, ideas, and words that help us make sense of our lives and our world.

Careers in communication, media and the performing and visual arts challenge your communication and creative talents. However, creativity is rapidly merging with technology, making careers more interesting and multidimensional.

As a Harper student, you will learn from journalists who have written for the Chicago Tribune, professional musicians who have played at the Lyric Opera, actors who are members of the Actor's Equity Association, fashion designers who have had their garments on the runways in Paris, artists whose works have received reviews in publications such as Sculpture Magazine and many other experts who bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom.
