You will receive individual assistance online or in person.It's important that you succeed. That is why Harper offers currently enrolled ESL students free 30-minute online or in person ESL tutoring sessions with highly-qualified ESL instructors.
1. To schedule a tutoring appointment, log in to your Harper Student Portal; click on Academic Success; and then, in the ESL box, click on "Request an ESL tutoring appointment."
2. Look for a confirmation email from a tutor (be sure to check your spam folder!).
3. FOR ONLINE TUTORING: Use a smart phone, iPad, laptop or computer with internet access. Check your Harper student email before your appointment to get the Zoom meeting link for the tutoring session. (You may be asked to download Zoom if you never did before. It is free in app stores for phones/iPads, and here for Windows-based computers: https://zoom.us/ ) Email any paragraph or essay that you want help with to esl_lab@harpercollege.edu at least 3 hours before your session.
4. FOR IN-PERSON TUTORING: Come to Room D144 at your appointment time. Please bring a printed copy of any paragraph or essay that you want help with to your appointment.
