Classroom Instruction

Traditional Format

  • Regular Classroom Instruction
    • Lecture content specific to Tests, Quizzes, Progress Checks and Information Research)
  • Practical training demonstration by the instructor (Hands-on)
  • Student apply and practice their skills in the RAC lab under the supervision, direction and guidance of the RAC faculty and Staff (Hands-on Training)
  • Students competency level demonstration of the task to the instructor (Practical Testing)

 Open Lab Instruction

Open Entry Format

  • Instructional video lectures
    • Content specific tests, progress checks and lab tasks performed in the RAC video room  amp; lab
  • RAC instructors are present at all times in the lab to assist the students with the course content
  • Practical training demonstration by the instructor (Hands-on)
  • Students apply and practice their skills in the RAC lab under the supervision, direction and guidance of the RAC faculty and Staff (Hands-on Training)
  • Students competency level demonstration of the task to the instructor (Practical Testing)

Open Entry Structure

Student will work at specific skills required of those employed in the HVAC Industry.

  • Student may register at any time during the semester
  • Students have 16 weeks from the day of enrollment to complete a course.
  • Student moves through the course at his/her own pace. (Fast - Track)
  • The flexibility of the program a student may immediately enroll and begin the next course in the sequence as soon as the prerequisite course is completed
  • Afternoon evening and weekend hours allow students to adjust their schedule

DVD Lectures

  • Allows students to view technical lectures at their leisure
  • Allows students to review lectures as many times as they wish during the course and later down the road when the individual is working in the field.
