Sharon Czachor, a life-long passionate sewer/designer has been teaching for over 10 years in the Fashion Studies Department, Harper College. Her classes include: industrial construction methods (beginning and advanced) of skirts, blouses, pants, dresses and jackets. Specialties within her classes include The Little Black Dress and French-style Jacket.
She is the author of Sewing with Knits and Stretch Fabrics and co-author of Professional Sewing Techniques for Designers. A Fashion Group International award-winning designer, she is a member of ITAA, the Haute Couture Group of Chicago and The American Sewing Guild.

Kathleen has taught various Fashion Design courses for twenty years and is the Brand Manager for Cle' de Peau Beaute' at Neiman Marcus in Chicago. In addition, she is on the Executive Committee for the Costume Council at the Chicago History Museum and was Regional Director of Fashion Group International Chicago from 2014-2016. Distinguished Educator Award 2011, FGI Merit Award 2014, and Lifetime Achievement Award 2017 are a few of the recent awards issued. Kathleen is dedicated and devoted to the academic success of the Harper College Fashion Design and Merchandising students.

Beata Kania is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and entrepreneur. Internationally recognized Master Embroiderer and textile guru, she also specializes in contemporary, experimental pattern making techniques, and conceptual approach to fashion design, for which she has been honored with the Distinguished Educator of the Year Award. She has exhibited her work at the American Arts and Crafts Expo, Northwestern University, SOFA, Agora Gallery, NY, Nashville Public Library, Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, Merchant Hall, London.
Audrey Michelle Mast is a Chicago-based educator and consultant whose art, design and culture writing has appeared in magazines like ArtAsiaPacific, Sculpture, TimeOut Chicago, NewCity, DEMO, Chicago Collection, and GUP (Netherlands) as well as websites like Houzz, Artkrush and Flavorpill Chicago, where she served as Managing Editor. Her essay “The Culture, Style, and Art of The Rockabillies" was featured in a book of photography, The Rockabillies, by artist Jennifer Greenburg (2011, Center for American Places, distributed by University of Chicago Press). Audrey teaches art history, media studies and costume history at Harper College, McKendree University and University of Missouri – St. Louis. She has a B.A. in Film/Video History and Criticism from Columbia College Chicago and an M.A. in Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Donna Sculley has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She also has an Associate Degree in Fashion Design from William Rainey Harper College. She has taught Felting, Weaving, Machine Knitting, Textiles I and II, Textile Studio I and II, Industrial Sewing, Advanced Industrial Sewing and Fashion Basics at Harper College over the last 12+ years. She has had several finalists in the Alpaca Owners Association Textile Design Competition and one student who placed first in the Hand and Lock Competition in London. Whenever Donna has any free time, she is researching and trying new textile techniques. She has never met a technique she hasn’t liked!

Nupur Sharma is a Chicago based Textile and Fashion educator. She has been engaged in the global fashion industry since past 26 years and has been teaching since past 13 years. She has a graduate degree in Fashion Design from University of Cincinnati. Her career in the industry include working with Haggar Clothing Company, Sears, Design Craft and free lancing for Mudlark, Victoria Secret, Kohl’s, and JC Penny. Among some the classes Nupur has taught are - Textiles, Costume History, Product Development, Apparel Evaluation, Industrial Sewing, Surface Design, Sustainable Fashion, Global Trade in fashion and Textiles, etc. Nupur is the coordinator for department of fashion studies at Harper College.

Tammy has a bachelor of science in textile and apparel design from NIU and MBA in Marketing from AIU Online. She has worked as a retail manager and regional trainer for 17 years. After she finished her MBA she decided to change career and started teaching 10 years ago. Her areas of expertise are: Marketing, Sales, Management, Visual Merchandising, and Trend Forecasting.
