Let Harper help you further your path in Real Estate.
Earn or Renew Your License
To qualify for an Illinois Real Estate Broker License in the State of Illinois, you must be at least 21 years old, have a high school graduate diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), and successfully complete the required coursework and pass the state licensing exam. This license is governed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Education Regulation. To earn this license, you will need to complete a 90 program in Broker Pre-Licensing. Harper offers this program every semester and part of the program can be taken online or in the classroom. It takes less than one semester to complete the required 90 hours.
If you are honest, hardworking, self-motivated and enjoy helping people, this may be a great career for you. Those who work in the real estate industry don’t work a regular nine-to-five job. While they are able to set their own schedules, they do have to make themselves available for clients and that often involves working weekends or evenings.
If you are unsure of choosing this as a career, you may want to conduct an informational interview a real estate broker. If you do decide this is a good option for you, check out our upcoming classes. We would be happy to get you on your way to your new career in real estate!
