REIKI I FOR THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

You will learn the history, philosophy and protocols of working with Reiki, and be attuned to this incredible energy. Reiki is being utilized in hospital treatment plans across the country as medical and non-medical personnel have come to recognize its ability to reduce stress and expedite healing. Learn how you can incorporate this special modality into your own lifestyle and begin reaping its benefits. This course is not limited to massage therapists as Reiki is useful for and can be utilized by anyone. For massage therapists, 6 NCBTMB CEs awarded.

REIKI II FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

You will be a professional Reiki practitioner upon completion of this class. As in Level 1, you will be attuned to Reiki to increase the flow of energy and provide access to sacred Reiki symbols. New in this level are protocols for distant and surrogate transmission of Reiki as well as an introduction to the use of healing crystals. For massage therapists, 6 NCBTMB CEs awarded.

GERIATRIC MASSAGE LEVEL 1

Learn the principles of massage for the elderly in this 2.5 day workshop. You will explore the physiological, psychological, and sociological aspects of aging along with unique facets of assessing older clients. You will practice modifications of traditional massage techniques and examine the psychological aspects of touch for the geriatric population. Learn the important steps to building a geriatric massage practice, including marketing to senior facilities, referral agencies and active seniors in your community. This course awards 18 CEs through NCBTMB.

GERIATRIC MASSAGE LEVEL 2

Take your geriatric massage techniques to the next level in the second workshop in the Geriatric Massage series. In this class, you will learn to tailor your approach to your clients’ conditions, identify special precautions for positioning clients in hospital beds, wheelchairs, and geriatric chairs, and learn specific techniques for clients with Alzheimer’s/dementia, diabetes, Parkinson’s Disease and those who have suffered a stroke. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of the Level 1 Workshop. This course awards 18 CEs through NCBTMB.
