What is the Lifelong Learning Institute?

Since 2002, the Harper College Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) has provided continuing education opportunities to our 55+ audience. LLI members enjoy great discussions, innovative classes and new friendships. Join LLI and receive our e-newsletter, member discounts and access to exclusive members-only courses. You may also take classes as a non-member just to see what LLI is all about. LLI is a self-sustaining program, relying on membership and course fees for its continued operation.

LLI offers a mix of short-term courses, workshops, seminars and lectures.

LLI courses require no prerequisites, grades or exams. Some instructors may suggest reading certain texts and other materials for participants to gain full benefit from the class experience.

Every effort is made not to cancel LLI classes. However, a minimum enrollment is set for most classes, and a course will be cancelled if the minimum enrollment is not met.

LLI courses are held at Harper's main campus, the Harper Professional Center (HPC), or the Harper Learning and Career Center (LCC). Many classes are held at partner sites, where our community partners help us provide LLI courses and events accessible to everyone. Free parking is available at all LLI course locations.
