BALLROOM DANCING-SINGLES COUPLES AND TEENS WELCOME! (LPD 0205): Do you have a wedding class reunion or party in your future? Single, couples and teens alike, you’ll be at ease with Cherie Uricek’s easy learning style and will be ready to dance at that next special occasion before you know it. You will learn the Fox Trot Waltz Swing/Jitterbug Cha-Cha Latin Dance and Polka. For those getting married bring a copy of your first dance song to class. Location: Forest View Educational Ctr. 2121 S Goebbert Rd. Arlington Heights (Room D102); use door #1.

HARPER DANCE COMPANY PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP (LPD 0253): This is an ongoing, special purpose class specifically for members of the Harper College Dance Company. Members practice and refine their skill in ballet, jazz, hip-hop and modern dance and learn how to choreograph short performances such as football and basketball halftime shows. Training culminates with an annual spring concert featuring the dancing and choreography of Dance Company members. Harper Main Campus.

LATIN NIGHTCLUB DANCE (LEI 0180): This class is for adults who are interested in learning the basic patterns of Latin dances that are danced in clubs in Chicago area: salsa, merengue, bachata, cha-cha, and rumba. Complete beginners as well those with some experience will benefit from this tour of Latin dance moves. Adults 18 and up. Singles are welcome in addition to couples.

SQUARE DANCING - SINGLES AND COUPLES WELCOME (LPD 0206): Square Dancing is alive and well and more popular than ever. If you love to dance, have fun, and meet new people, then this class is for you. Students will learn square dance basic moves: do-si-do, right and left grand, grand square, and more from experienced dancers provided by the Happy Twirlers Dance Club. Some experience preferred. Location: Forest View Educational Ctr. 2121 S Goebbert Rd. Arlington Heights (Board Room), use door #1.

TASTE OF SQUARE DANCE (LPD 0208): Square Dancing is alive and well and more popular than ever. If you love to dance, meet new people, and have fun, this class is for you. Students will learn square dance basic moves: do-si-do, right and left grand, grand square, and more from experienced dancers provided by the Happy Twirlers Dance Club. SQUARE DANCING FOR SENIORS (LLI 1056): Square dancing is a great way to have fun while getting a renewing mind-body fitness experience. Challenge your brain as you remember the patterns associated with each square dance call. This fun, social activity affords you the opportunity to meet and dance with other seniors—bring a partner or come alone. Dance to a variety of tunes from newer songs to more traditional music. No dance experience is necessary. As we say, “Two left feet? No problem—it’s like walking to music.” Dress comfortably—leather-soled shoes preferred. Harper Main Campus.
