Harper students have variety of opportunities to study internationally.
Canterbury, England - Fall/Spring
Students attend Canterbury Christ Church College, a 25 year old institution enrolling about 8,000 British and international students. Students will take two required courses: one course in Modern Britain, and another course in British History or literature, and two other electives with British students for a total of 12 credit hours. Students will live with a local family and may attend fall or spring semester
Salzburg, Austria - Fall/Spring
Students attend Salzburg College, a private school college located in downtown Salzburg. Courses will be taught in English, but students will be expected to take a German language course, a course in Austrian Civilization, and either music appreciation or art history. Other courses are offered in the humanities, social sciences, and physical education for a total of 15 credit hours. Students will live in an Austrian home with a local family, and may enroll for fall or spring semester.
Morelia, Mexico - Fall/Spring/Summer
Students will attend school at Centro Mexicano International,
CMI, in Mexico. Students are required to have at least one semester of
previous study or coursework in the Spanish language. Courses will be
taught in English, but students will be expected to take a Spanish
language course and a course in Latin American culture. Students will
live with a local family and may enroll for the summer, fall or spring,
semester.

Dijon, France - Summer
A modern campus in the American style, located about twenty
minutes by bus from the city center. Dijon itself is an historical
center located about one and one-half hours from Paris by bullet train.
Courses are held at the Cetre Interntional d’Etudes Francaises at the
University of Burgundy. Students live in a dorm on campus, and must
have the equivalent of one year of college French. The program consists
of six weeks intensive French language and cultural studies.
Kyoto, Japan - Summer
A five-week study held in cooperation with Kyoto International Academy in Kyoto. Participants will take courses in Japanese Language (Beginning, Mid-level or Advanced) and Culture & Civilization of Japan. Classroom instruction comes alive because the whole community serves as a giant classroom and language laboratory for students. Students will live with a local family.
Munich, Germany - Summer
A five-week study held in cooperation with Inlingua Language School in Munich. Participants take courses in German Language (Beginning, Mid-level or Advanced) and Culture and Civilization of Germany. Optional Business German course available. Participants will be able to practice and improve their knowledge of the language by interacting with the German people within the area and their host family.
San Jose, Costa Rica - Summer
Students attend a five-week long summer
program in language and culture in San Jose, Costa Rica. Home stays,
field trips, and study through the Forester Institute in an exotic
location make this an ideal program to gain proficiency in the Spanish
language and Latin American culture. Students live with a local family.
