In addition to having
access to Harper’s expert career and academic counselors, you have the
opportunity to work with a career coach. Together, you’ll develop a
plan to overcome obstacles to career success and create a plan to
achieve your goals. Your coach can help you find your ideal career,
successfully navigate a career transition or prepare for a promotion.
You’ll develop greater confidence in your skills, define and build upon
your strengths and learn how to apply your talents for continued
success.
You can also take advantage of a variety of other
success services such as the Career Center, free math/accounting
tutoring and a free Student Success Lecture Series.
Experienced and Professional Faculty
Our expert faculty
blends theory and industry knowledge. They teach in an adult-friendly
learning style that develops your leadership and critical thinking
skills. And, your classroom comes alive as fellow students share their
experiences, insights and knowledge while the group works to solve real
world challenges.
Consistent Schedule
Classes
are held at the same time each week for up to two years. Once you
choose your degree option, all your courses are pre-selected and
pre-planned for you—no scheduling hassle.
Affordability and Value
Harper’s tuition is an incredible value and educational investment that will pay dividends for years to come. Tuition (in-district residents)
is just a fraction of the cost of four-year universities. And, you can
expect to complete the entire two-year program for about $8,600 which
includes tuition, fees and books.
Financial assistance is available through the Scholarships and Financial Assistance. Harper offers
out-of-district residents in-district tuition rates if the company you work for is part of Harper's Business EdVantage. (To find out if your company is registered, call 847.925.6847. If they are not registered, we can do that for you, too.)
Transfer to Complete Your Bachelor's
Harper's partnerships will colleges and universities enable you to transfer quickly and complete your bachelor's degree.
Accelerated Pace
Condensed class schedules are pre-planned
and pre-packaged for your convenience. You won’t waste time waiting for
the next class to start or taking classes you don’t need. You can
choose from attending class just one night a week or one weekend day
until you’re finished. Additional schedules will be available soon.
Adult-Friendly Learning Environment
Many
programs allow you to work with a cohort of fellow motivated adult
learners—you and your contemporaries will take the same series of
classes together. Learning in a cohort is an innovative way to develop
a strong community which provides you with a rich educational
experience that supersedes the classroom. In additional to the cohort
format, Faculty tailor their teaching to meet the needs of adult
learners. There are many opportunities for active participation through
discussions, simulations, exercises, group work, projects and
demonstrations. Some programs include an “externship” experience which
gives you real world work experience to best prepare you for immediate
employment. Get details at an upcoming info session.
