Internships

Harper College Internship Program

An internship is an opportunity for you to apply what you have learned in the classroom in a supervised work setting. Internships are usually related to your career field of interest and performed with or without pay.  Internships are available in a wide range of settings, including business, government, the arts and non-profit organizations.

Internships may be part of an academic program in which students earn class credit. Students interested in earning academic credit for an internship experience must work through the Faculty/Program Coordinator to obtain academic credit.

Finding an internship takes some thought, planning and preparation. You should start looking as soon as possible.  Start by reviewing the Internship Guidelines for Students PDF. and print out the Internship Checklist PDF
