The Striving Toward Educational Prosperity (STEP) Program at Harper College aims to increase enrollment and access to higher education, particularly for Black students and their families.

Our goals are:

Empowerment: Provide Black students and families with the tools and information to navigate the higher education landscape, by making college more accessible.
Education: Offer comprehensive guidance on available academic programs, financial assistance options, admission processes, and career planning strategies.
Engagement: Foster an inclusive and supportive campus environment that encourages community engagement, networking, and lifelong learning.
Excellence: Nurture the academic potential of Black students and support students in achieving their educational goals, leading to a successful and fulfilling future.
